Mailing List Tips
Here’s how to get the most out of your mailing list:

• We recommend using these list file formats: ASCII Delimited, Excel, Access, ASCII Fixed Width, Word Perfect
• Keep your lists up to date by running the list through the U.S. Postal Service National Change Of Address (NCOA) file.
• Keep seeded names on the database for two reasons: to see samples of your mailing piece and to make sure there is no unauthorized use of your mailing list.
• Talk to your designers before they design the mailing to make sure they understand mailing requirements that might affect the finished design.
