Prepress

From the time your job enters our shop and is checked by our preflight professionals, to the time it’s released as print ready by our quality control experts, we’re focused on just one thing — providing the best possible product (and service).

Full prepress services...Anderberg offers a full range of prepress services–all designed to ensure a high-quality printed piece.

Our prepress services include:

Preflight and file transfer — Our preflight professionals review your electronic files to check areas that might cause problems before we begin the prepress process — saving you both time and money. Files can also be transferred through high-speed T1 lines to our Beehive FTP server accessed via our Web site.

Page composition and electronic art — We not only assure the integrity of your files, we can also create electronic art files or enhance your existing files using all of the popular software programs including: Quark-X-Press, In-Design, Photoshop, Illustrator along with many others on both Mac or PC platforms.

Scanning — Our prepress scanning and color management technicians are highly skilled at using sophisticated digital prepress scanning technology and making experienced judgments to produce the highest quality photos.

Color management and image output — We have a full range of color services including image editing, retouching, color correction and outlining separated images. Then we’ll proof your files on large format Epson printers that are calibrated daily using the highest proofing standards.

Call us at 952-848-7300 or stop by our printing facility at 6999 Oxford Street in St. Louis Park to find out how we can complete your entire printing project (including prepress) in house.

Premedia Tips

  • PDFs aren’t perfect. Talk to your printer about his or her preferences for embedded fonts, trapping, and printer settings.
  • RGB and CMYK aren’t the same colors. You’ll want to make sure your RGB images get translated correctly into CMYK printable files.
  • Watch out for low res to high-res art transfers. Make sure the files are named correctly so the high-resolution files (300 dpi min.) automatically replace the low resolution ones.
  • Include a hard copy proof with your electronic file that identifies everything on the file.
  • Discuss bleeds or printing specifications with your printer at the premedia stage–or even before.

Bison Fact

The American Bison has been prominently featured on many American coins and bills throughout history including the Buffalo Nickel and the 1901 ten dollar bill.

Whatever type or size your order may be, Anderberg always provides great quality and outstanding value for your money.
